Island Brač and Golden Horn beach

The bike ride today takes us along picturesque villages and olive groves of island Brač. One of the trademarks of the island are stone quarries and the tradition of stone carving. Parts of the White House in Washington and Diocletian’s Palace in Split are just some of the sites that were built with this stone! All the ancient villages and towns on Brač Island are like an exhibition of the finest stone work! We will have a chance to visit an unique family owned art gallery where sculptures, paintings and jewellery are exhibited, and traditional values are presented in a modern way. Following the gallery visit we continue to bike to the southern side of the island where the famous Golden Horn beach is located. After a swimming break, we will use the thermal wind Maestral to reach our next island - Hvar.

    Day 4

    Marco Polo's home

Today you can choose between a loop ride on the island or just a relaxing day with some sightseeing in the town of Korčula – a Venetian fortified town, irresistible to today's visitor, just as it used to impress medieval travel writers like Marco Polo, who began his life journey in this town. Today’s experience ranges from riding along coastal roads leading to secluded beaches to biking through the vineyards surrounding small, picturesque towns. Did we mention an optional swimming break at the beaches at the eastern part of the island? The afternoon is planned to be spent in the city of Korčula.

    Day 6

Ancient Greek colony and island Vis

Enjoy a morning cruise to island Vis. From all inhabited islands, Vis is the farthest from the coast. The island was one of the main Greek colonies in the 4th century B.C. Until 1991, it was not easily accessible to foreign tours as it was a military base for the Yugoslavian army! Hence, the architecture, the lifestyle and the landscape on this island are quite exceptional and preserved! Cycle along charming vineyards, sleepy authentic villages and visit Komiža - one of the last fisherman villages. Discover the «pomalo» laid back lifestyle of local citizens.

    Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
    Distance biked: 35 km
    Overnight: Island Vis
    Highlights: Island Vis, Komiža

    Day 7

    Island Hvar

After breakfast on board, you might want to enjoy espresso on the beautiful and trendy Venetian style piazza of town Hvar. Today’s ride starts with a climb, along the abandoned villages and lavender fields. Once on top of the island, you will see a lot of stone piles, man made in order to clear the land so farmers could plant lavender and similar crops! Riding on the north side of the islands you will be riding among the UNESCO world heritage site of Stari Grad plain. Cycle through scenic fields and mostly on flat roads on the northern side of the island, where you will pass the coastal villages of Jelsa and Vrboska and other charming and authentic inland villages.

    Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Distance biked: 46 km  -  Easy option: 25 km

Accommodation

races

Gulets

Great choice to explore our coast with a larger group of friends or family members. Gulets are very comfortable wooden ships, usually with 4 - 8 cabins, each with private bathroom and AC. These boats come with a captain and crew (usually 3 or 4 crew members). On the boat, breakfast is served daily. Usually there will be served another meal daily (either lunch or dinner, depending on the daily logistics). Sailing is usually not a preferred option for the travel between the islands as these boats are heavy, big and need wind from an adequate direction in order to reach the next destination on time. But comfort is guaranteed as usually there is a sun deck as well as dining space.

races

Luxury Mega Yachts

Built according to the highest standards, tastefully decorated and with a professional crew of 4 or more members. They can be either power or sailing yachts. The level of luxury and service varies and is reflected in the price. 4 - 8 cabins, each with private bathroom and AC. On the boat, breakfast is served daily and usually 1 more daily meal (either lunch or dinner, depending on the daily logistics).

races

Motor Yachts

Perfectly maintained and fully equipped boats with 3 to 6 cabins. Either power or sailing yacht with 3 - 4 crew member who take care of all your needs. Breakfast is served daily. Usually there will be served another meal daily (either lunch or dinner, depending on the daily logistics).

races

Catamaran

Definitely a good choice for groups with more than 4 people as they are spacious and can sail well. Access to small and secluded beaches is possible. Catamarans are usually chartered with a skipper, optionally with a hostess, who can prepare your meals, clean, etc. Catamarans come in different sizes, from 35 to 60 feet which is then reflected in the different type of cabins and space on the boat.

races

Sailing boats

Similar to catamarans but usually with less space so we recommend them for groups up to 4 people.  They need less wind for good and joyful sailing conditions as they are not as heavy as catamarans. On bigger sailing boats a skipper and hostess can be included in charter price.
