Join our self guided drive tour and explore northern part of Croatia and its natural and historical highlights.
After exploration of Zagreb depart for Plitvice lakes and other Croatian National Parks and UNESCO inscribed sites before your tour end in Split.
Arrive to Zagreb, rest and get over the jetlag before visiting the historic centre. Depart south to discover National Parks of Croatia. Plitvice Lakes, Kornati Islands and Krka waterfalls are optional destinations to explore. Besides National Parks you will visit towns of Zagreb, Trogir and Zadar and discover the diversity of Croatian culture, gastronomy and nature. Your tour ends in Split.

DAY 1
Zagreb
Welcome to Croatia! Start your adventure from Zagreb, the capital of Croatia. Zagreb is a distinctly central European city situated in the middle of the triangle of Vienna, Budapest and Venice. It has always been and remains a part of the cultural circle of central Europe.

DAY 2
Walk along the cobblestone streets and historical area of Zagreb’s Upper town. Mingle with the locals and buy fresh fruit or pastries from Dolac Market. Check out the Cathedral and walk along famous Ilica street before you depart for Plitvice Lakes.

Activity: Self guided walk/discovery of old town of Zagreb, afternoon/evening departure for Plitvice

DAY 3
Wake up early to walk along numerous lakes, gravel paths, wooden bridges and waterfalls in untouched nature of Plitvice Lakes. Late afternoon departure to your next destination – the city of Zadar. It is an historic old town of Roman ruins with beautiful medieval churches, cosmopolitan cafes and two unique attractions – the sound-and-light spectacle of the Sea Organ and the Greeting to the Sun.

Activity: self guided walk along lakes and waterfalls of Plitvice, afternoon/evening departure for Zadar

DAY 4
Enjoy a day tour along stone labyrinth of islands and islets. Explore 140 small islets, experience its quiet, treeless hills and minimalist landscape. Suggested time of visit is beginning of May till end of September.

DAY 5
On your way to Split, visit Krka National Park and charming coastal towns of Primošten and Trogir. Arrive late in the afternoon to Split – city founded by roman Emperor Diocletian, dating back to 300 A.C.

Activity: Walk along Krka National Park, exploration of Primosten and Trogir
Overnight: Split
Highlights: Krka waterfalls and lakes, Trogir -ancient Greek colony
DAY 6
Today your pre-tour ends. This is a great timing to start your tour along the Croatian coast with Meridien Ten.
